Sweet Adelines International Starts HOT in NOLA

The 2019 International Contest for Sweet Adelines is well underway with the Harmony Classic Divisions A and AA and the Quartet Semifinals in the rear view mirror.

After an exciting night highlighting the smaller choruses of the organization, Millenium Magic Chorus, a chorus that uniquely uses no front line director, took first place in Division A. Under the direction of 2014 Queen of Harmony Caitlin Castelino, Diablo Vista Chorus won Division AA.

The quartet semifinals were a long day of incredible music from 44 quartets crossing the stage at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, with the top ten moving on to the Finals on Friday. Day One – Black Forest Voices Festival

Day 1 at the inaugural Black Forest Voices Festival highlighted the talent of the host village of Kirchzarten and surrounding local area. With coaching camps led by Kim Nazaria and Peder Karlsson and and evening open air concert, this new festival kicked off with strong excitement from the singers, the fans, and the locals.

New Varsity Vocals Champions Named

The stages of Town Hall and the PlayStation Theater brought a cappella to Broadway this weekend for the 2019 ICHSA and ICCA Finals.

After two evenings of performances that marked the culmination of a year of hard work from all of the finalists, two new groups joined the legacy of Varsity Vocals champions – InToneNation and the N’Harmonics.
